HCTV Internship: TV Production Intern

Hours per week: Minimum 15 hours

 Hanover Community Television is seeking qualified candidates for seasonal internships.

About the position:

Interns will gain hands on experience in all aspects of media production. Interns will assist in setting up studio and remote productions, record live events such as sporting events, meetings, and music productions, edit previously recorded events. Work with staff to promote live events on social media, and maintain video production equipment. Interns will also be give the opportunity to explore areas of their interest more in-depth during this internship. This is an unpaid internship but college credit may be available. 

Qualifications:

• Enrolled in college or high school
• Entry-level knowledge of television production
• Ambitious self-starter, can work independently as well as part of a team
• Strong oral and written communication skill
• Reliable 
• Computer skills that include Google docs, Adobe, Final Cut Pro and social media platforms
• Must be able to pass a CORI 

Responsibilities

• Learn and operate all studio and field equipment 
• Set up and break down equipment as needed
• Shoot and edit programs in a timely manner using either Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut 
• Plan, research and complete an independent project of interns choice ( Station managers approval) 
• Publicize programs and events on social media
• Assist station staff with day to day operations as needed
